Finished yet another exam. The renal system was quite a hard system, for me at least. Understanding how the two kidneys function to get rid of toxic substances from the body, how it maintain blood pressure and the acid-base balance in our body, how it produces hormones so that we don't get anemia or vitamin D defiency and how diseases of the kidneys can lead to kidney failure. Conclusion : 2 small little kidneys in our body have a BIG BIG responsibility.
Now that it's over, it's 4 weeks of History of Medicine. Wish me luck with memorizing names, dates and events >.<
